Stakeholder Meeting No.1
(December 12, 2012)
Introductory Public Meeting No. 1
(July 30, 2012)
Reducing congestion is a top priority for Lake County. Congestion results in delays and lost time. It impacts quality of life and can lead to increases in crashes. Based on a countywide review of congested intersections and crash data, the Illinois Route 59 / Grand Avenue (IL 59 /Grand) intersection has been identified for possible improvements.
The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) has initiated a preliminary engineering study to develop potential improvements for the intersection. This study will take an in-depth look at the current and future needs at this intersection and develop solutions to reduce congestion and improve safety.
The preliminary engineering study will have numerous opportunities for the public and various stakeholders to review and comment on the alternatives that will be developed to improve the intersection.
